Lifetime Product Coverage and 30-Year Color-Fade Coverage

Our Promise

Econocraft Materials, LLC (“Econocraft”) stands behind the materials, workmanship and long-term exterior performance of LokPlate. Subject to the terms below, the covered product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it remains installed in its original location. Its factory color is separately warranted against excessive fading for 30 years from the original purchase date.

1. Products and Owners Covered

This warranty applies to LokPlate plastic downspout nozzles and matching self-locking escutcheon plates manufactured from ASA and purchased on or after the effective date shown above.

This warranty does not cover bird screens, adapter kits, sealants, piping, couplings or other accessories unless a separate written warranty expressly says otherwise.

Coverage begins on the original purchase date. No warranty registration is required. Coverage is transferable to subsequent property owners while the covered product remains installed at the property and in the location where it was first installed.

2. Lifetime Product Coverage

For purposes of this warranty, “Lifetime Product Coverage” means the period during which the covered product remains installed in its original location on the property. Coverage does not end solely because the property is sold or transferred.

During that period, Econocraft warrants that the covered product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal installation, use and service.

Covered conditions include:

• Cracking, splitting or structural failure caused by a defect in the product’s material or manufacture.
• Separation or failure of the nozzle or escutcheon plate caused by a manufacturing defect.
• Another material or manufacturing defect that prevents the product from performing its intended function as an exterior storm-drainage termination.

3. 30-Year Color-Fade Coverage

For 30 years from the original purchase date, Econocraft warrants that ordinary exposure to sunlight and weather will not cause excessive or abnormal fading of the covered product’s factory color.

For purposes of this warranty, excessive or abnormal fading means a substantial and readily visible change in factory color beyond the gradual change in color or gloss reasonably expected from normal outdoor aging.

Normal, minor or gradual changes in color, gloss or appearance are expected as exterior materials age and are not considered defects. This coverage does not apply to discoloration caused by staining, deposits, biological growth, abrasion, chemicals or another excluded condition listed below.

4. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover a condition, failure or appearance change caused in whole or in part by:

• Improper installation, installation contrary to Econocraft’s written instructions applicable at the time of installation, or use outside the product’s intended storm-drainage application.
• Impact, abrasion, scratching, vandalism, misuse, mishandling, modification, cutting, drilling, structural movement or ordinary wear and tear.
• Fire, extreme or concentrated heat, reflected solar heat, lightning, flood, windstorm, hail, earthquake or another event outside normal service conditions.
• Contact with solvents, harsh chemicals, incompatible cleaners, adhesives, sealants, coatings, paint, construction materials, pollutants or surface contamination.
• Blocked, pressurized or improperly supported drainage piping; building settlement; movement of the wall or piping; or failure of another building component.
• A gradual change in color, gloss or texture consistent with normal outdoor aging that is not excessive or abnormal under Section 3.
• Differences in color between separate production lots or between a replacement product and products that have already been exposed to outdoor conditions.
• Damage occurring during shipment, storage, handling or installation that was not caused by a defect in the product as supplied by Econocraft.

5. Remedy

If Econocraft confirms a covered claim, Econocraft will, at its option, replace the affected covered product with a new equivalent product or issue a credit equal to the original purchase price of the affected covered product.

Replacement and purchase-price credit are not prorated during the applicable coverage period.

If the original product, size or color is no longer available, Econocraft may provide the closest reasonably available equivalent. Because materials and production colors change over time, Econocraft does not guarantee an exact color match between a replacement product and surrounding products.

For an approved replacement, Econocraft will pay the standard outbound shipping cost to send the replacement product to the claimant.

This warranty covers the affected Econocraft product only. Unless required by applicable law, it does not cover on-site inspection, removal, labor, reinstallation, finishing, equipment rental, access, scaffolding or other project costs.

6. How to Make a Claim

To begin a claim, contact Econocraft within a reasonable time after discovering the condition and provide:

• The claimant’s name, telephone number, email address and installation address.
• A brief description of the condition and when it was first observed.
• Clear photographs showing the affected product and surrounding installation.
• The original invoice, installer receipt, order confirmation or other reasonable evidence of the purchase or installation date, if available.

Econocraft will review the submitted information and may request additional photographs or information reasonably needed to evaluate the claim.

If the claim appears potentially covered, Econocraft will issue return authorization and provide the address and instructions for returning the affected product. Products should not be returned without prior authorization.

Before any replacement or purchase-price credit is provided, the claimant must ship the affected product to Econocraft for inspection. The claimant is responsible for properly packaging the product and paying the cost of shipping it to Econocraft.

Receipt of a returned product does not automatically mean that the claim is covered. Econocraft will inspect the returned product and make the final warranty determination. If Econocraft confirms a covered claim, it will provide the applicable remedy described in Section 5.

7. Limitations and Applicable Law

This document states Econocraft’s only express warranty for the covered product. No employee, sales representative, distributor, installer or other person may change or extend this warranty unless the change is contained in a written document signed by an authorized officer of Econocraft.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranty, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is limited in duration to the applicable express warranty period stated in this document. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so this limitation may not apply to you.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Econocraft is not liable for incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages arising from the product or a warranty claim. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction. If any provision of this warranty is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Version That Applies

The warranty version in effect on the product’s original purchase date governs the claim. Econocraft may revise warranty terms for products purchased in the future, but a later revision will not reduce coverage already granted to a previously purchased product.
